Dear Patients and Friends,
Eyecare Professionals and Mountain Eyewear are honored to share that Dr. Marisa Hess will be retiring from private practice optometry at the end of 2025, after 16 years of dedicated service to our patients and community. As Dr. Hess steps away from private practice in Livingston, she looks forward to spending more time with her family while continuing to serve the optometric profession in other ways. Patients previously seen by Dr. Hess will be seamlessly transitioned to Dr. Hanna Barney or Dr. Colleen Culbertson, who are both excited to continue providing the compassionate, high-quality care our patients have come to expect.

Welcome Dr. Coleen Culbertson
A Montana native, Dr. Culbertson grew up in Absarokee and first discovered her passion for optometry when she received her first pair of glasses at the age of seven. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and Public Health from Carroll College in 2020, then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. During her time there, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society and was honored with the Donald A. Bybee Memorial Award for Best Performance in Vision Therapy. Dr. Culbertson graduated in the spring of 2025. Dr. Culbertson joined the Eyecare Professionals team in July of 2025 and is enjoying serving patients in her home state.
All of us at Eyecare Professionals remain committed to providing outstanding eye care to the Livingston community and surrounding area under the continued leadership of Dr. Hanna Barney, alongside our newest provider, Dr. Colleen Culbertson.
